AIF-C01 Practice Question 14: Choose Bedrock Managed FMS

AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) · Test 2 · question 4 of 10

Fundamentals of GenAIeasy

A startup wants to add text generation to its product. The developers want to try models from several AI companies through one API, and they don't want to train models or provision and manage any model-hosting infrastructure. Which AWS service best fits these requirements?

Answer:

  • A. Amazon Bedrock

Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed service that gives you access to foundation models from many leading AI companies. You call any of them through the same Bedrock APIs and pay for what you use, with no servers or endpoints to manage. That lets a team compare providers and build generative AI features quickly (option A).

- B is wrong because SageMaker AI is the platform for building, training, and deploying your *own* ML models. You can host foundation models there, but you choose and manage the endpoint infrastructure, which the startup wants to avoid. - C is wrong because Amazon Comprehend is a pre-trained natural language processing service for tasks such as sentiment and entity detection. It doesn't generate text or offer a choice of foundation models. - D is wrong because running models on EC2 means managing servers, drivers, model weights, and scaling yourself. That's the most operational work of all four options.
