These practice topics sit outside any one vendor's exam and outside the core IT foundations, but they come up constantly in technical work and interviews: Python, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and Agile and Scrum. None of them is modelled on a particular certification.
- Python covers the parts of the language that surprise people: mutable default arguments, shallow copies, closures in loops, identity versus equality. The snippets are written against CPython, and most ask what gets printed or why a check fails.
- CI/CD and DevOps covers delivery practices independent of any tool: trunk-based development, building once and promoting the same artifact, safe rollouts and rollbacks, and the DORA metrics for measuring delivery performance.
- Agile and Scrum follows the current Scrum Guide, with its accountabilities, events and artifacts, and adds Kanban basics. Questions are everyday team situations, such as a stakeholder asking for a change mid-sprint.
Who they help
Python suits developers preparing for coding interviews, and anyone heading for the Databricks ML or GenAI certs, where Python is assumed rather than taught. CI/CD and DevOps suits DevOps, platform and SRE candidates, and people studying for a cloud DevOps certification who want the ideas clear before learning a vendor's pipeline service. Agile and Scrum suits anyone joining a team that works in sprints, new Scrum Masters and Product Owners, and the "how do you work in a team" part of an interview.
How to use them
Each topic has a 10-question test. Take it cold to see where you stand, then read the explanation of every option. The wrong answers are deliberately the common habits and misreadings, such as long-lived feature branches or treating velocity as a way to compare teams, so the explanations show why they cause trouble. Every question has its own page with a link to the reference it is based on, such as the Python documentation, DORA's guides or the Scrum Guide.
Your scores are kept in your browser, so you can retake a test after studying and see the difference. More tests will be added over time.
