AIF-C01 Practice Question 84: GenAI Business Value Metrics

AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) · Test 9 · question 4 of 10

Fundamentals of GenAImedium

Six months after launching a generative AI chatbot for customer support, executives ask whether the application is delivering business value. The engineering team currently tracks only token throughput and response latency. Which set of measurements would best answer the executives' question?

Answer:

  • C. Cost per resolved interaction, agent hours saved, and customer satisfaction change

AWS guidance says that every technical metric should be traceable to a business outcome, and that an ROI dashboard should *"integrate financial metrics (such as cost per interaction and total infrastructure spend) with business value metrics (such as hours saved, revenue lift, and CSAT score improvements)."* Together they show whether the chatbot is worth what it costs (option C).

- A is wrong because throughput, token counts and utilization describe system load and efficiency. They say nothing about whether customers or the business benefit. - B is wrong because counting models evaluated and prompts written measures effort spent, not value delivered. - D is wrong because parameter count and knowledge base size are descriptive properties of the system. A large model or corpus does not prove business results.
